It is my belief that this is a place for me to always be reminded of Abba's love for me and that this walk of faith, is a gift. A Free Gift.
For a while, I felt a drought in my life. I wasn't praying as I used to be. I wasn't having my regular worship and bonding moments with The Holy Ghost. I was no longer plugged to sermons or Audio Bibles at every free time. I wasn't praying in tongues as much as I used to.
Of course, the devil tried to creep in. He came over for a tea party and handed me over to the "you have to work for it" mentality. So, I started to chase how I'd read a lot of Bible commentaries daily, listen to as many Furtick's and Todd's as possible, finish as many bible plans as possible. I started to become too busy to spend time with Abba. I took every job that came my way in the name of 'hustling'. It became a struggle to pray and even in church on Sunday, I felt nothing. I couldn't feel my walls breaking. Instead, they stood firm and I knew I had to act fast...So, I went back to Basics...

I started to read The Bible in bits. My new goal was to understand what I was reading, not how many I could read. I started to search for bible devotionals that could address first, the thought process that I had to work for God to love me. I started to read on purity and how no matter how many times one would fall, our sins are already wiped clean before we even committed them. I listened more to the 'He keeps loving me' instead of the 'Legbegbe's. I stopped taking every job because I started to understand that not everybody goes to price a Bentley; It has a target market. I decided to think of how I could show my light in the marketplace...then He reminded me how messages came in 2014 and 2016;
'I know your name'
'writing will open doors for you.
Never stop writing'.
So here I am. Back to Basics. Back to my first love. Back to Jesus. Back to Fellowship...because life without Him is exhausting, and I'm done chasing the skies when it's mine to soar in.
The devil tells us we are too busy; hustling to make money, make a name, while our relationship with Abba is impoverished.
So, here's a Bible plan to help us all:
and music to remind you that His love is unending and you need Him always:
Smile...Abba Loves You.
Signed,
A Modern Day Christian.
